I was so excited when I heard that this bridge was out. I was so looking forward to it, I could hardly wait for U.S. release and was about to order from Amazon. uk. Now I’m glad I waited for the U.S. launch and saved at least a bit “of money (now if I could * totally * unbuy).
This group and the book series of the same authors and artist who has produced Druid Animal Oracle Druidcraft Tarot. The book is in paperback and print an attractive green character. The cards are the same size as the DAO and the same pattern of Awen a mirror image on the back, the only difference is that the rear are green in this deck. They also have the same margin that the cards are DAO.
The following plants:
Agrimony, Betony, Borage, Bramble, burdock, Bean Celtic, chamomile, clover, comfrey, cuckoo pint, ferns, mosses Club Spruce, flax, garlic, Heather, Ivy, Juniper, Lady’s Mantle, blonde, Mandrake, Meadowsweet, Mint , mistletoe, wormwood, nettle, plantain, Poppy, Primrose, Puffball, Verbena, Wheat, ford, Yarrow, The Banes (Wolfsbane, hemlock and henbane), Guardian (Birch, Elder, Hawthorn surrounding a pool where Pimpernel grows water), and restorers (Rhodiola, Valerian and St. John’s wort).
The authors have chosen herbs have done “… drawing on information from five sources: the relatively new science of archaeo, the information provided on the basis of ancient herbs that have been written at the time of the ancient Druids, the accounts of the practices of herbalists Then the tracks they left us the ancient legends of Ireland and Wales and folklore, and the results of the pharmacology of plants. The Druid Animal Oracle is the first bridge that I bought and used. I’ve had for 12 years and I like it as much as I did when I took it. Many other decks have come and gone in my life, but the only thing that remained after all these years. It is true, I do not care much for the original hardcover book that comes with it, but I really like the art on the same card. (Imo, the only book that accompanies the cover assembly is an improvement over the original hardcover divinatory meanings. See: Druid Animal Oracle deck.) The art is nothing less than inspired by The Druid Animal Oracle.
Given my appreciation for the DAO, had very high expectations for this new series. Unfortunately, the new cover art only marginally resembles the cover of DAO. At first I thought this was a shocking example of poor print. However, after further examination of this deck, I realized that the style of Will Worthington is definitely changed. The art in this deck very similar to his work Druidcraft Tarot I personally did not like at all. I want to clarify that not only the art of this deck is not good. Instead, Mr. Worthington is clearly a highly skilled and inspired artist. However, if you expect these cards are the same style in the DAO Those who, like me, then it will be very surprised and dismayed because they are probably different.
Much of what I find questionable about this bridge, however can be attributed directly to poor quality printing. I think that colors are rendered incorrectly. Many colors are too saturated, giving a vulgarity that reduce the overall presentation. A big problem I have is with image clarity. The Dao was a wonderful sharpness and detail in the images. Not so with the RPD. That all seems a bit “too widespread. This bridge is the boundary of the DAO is just as easy to compare the print quality and color in them. RPD boundaries are fuzzy and dull. In addition, the back of the cards have been printed to have a strange grainy texture, unlike the regular structure DAO card. I think that />
The book:
I actually think that the authors have done a better job in this book DAO in the book. First, each plant is a very informative discussion of natural history. So, where the book oracular DAO no debate very small, has greatly expanded the book in this section. Finally, each plant is extended with a section of mythological references, often including medicinal uses and cultural and natural history. The authors have done a good job of research and methodology for the choice of including the herbs that seems reasonable. Although, I think there are some obvious omissions, such as oats, barley, apples, cabbage, cranberries, leeks, sauce, and seaweed! Undoubtedly, these critical and important facilities may be included to replace some of the others. I understand that would limit the voices, but above all very prominent in life, the person most common in the ancient “Druid” lands.
Another thing that really bothers me is that this deck I can not find anywhere a mention in the book being printed on any percentage of recycled paper with soy ink / label. No doubt these are two important factors in creating a book and a love of nature neo-druids? Disconcerting. . .
In general, I am very disappointed with this deck. I’m disappointed with art and “disappointed by the plant of choice. There are many images of this deck that would be fine, but only became more wisdom in the printing process.
I feel I won something from this bridge. For those who move out of this lot of respect for the Druid Animal Oracle, I suggest getting a look at the cards before you buy. Anyone who wishes to obtain information on “Celtic Plants,” or similar can do much more to buy the healing power of plants Celtic: its history, its use, and scientific evidence that they work or threads Healing traditional medicines of the Highlands and Scottish islands or herbal. Both currents medicinal plants and Celtic are listed in the bibliography of The Druid Plant Oracle.
In short I wanted love this job, but I do not. At best I am indifferent to her, the worst, I am disappointed and a bit ‘cheated. Maybe I’m too critical and I am a little “a perfectionist. But at least make this series a lot before buying.

I am a gardener with herbs, tarot enthusiast, Irish decent lover of all things Celtic, mystical practice, watercolorist, business woman, part-time astrologer. I think the paintings are beautiful. Herbs connect the earth to the ethereal and the bridge that makes it wonderfully. They recently and so far have tried to spread only the staff and the reading was on target. I can not wait to try other spreads. And by the reviewer, who was so disappointed – I certainly have not seen what he saw. To each his own. I am glad I bought despite having read the review. Tarot Druidcraft and is also my favorite regular tarot.

I anxiously awaited my copy of Druid Plant Oracle, both Druid and an affinity for the grass and I was very happy. This group called me like no other, even though I worked with Oracle and other animals first series. And I can not say I was not happy with the art, the book or the general presentation in any way. My only disappointment is really a personal preference is the option to enter and / or omit some assembly plants. However, as Carr-Gomm stressed, you can not please everybody anyway. So I’ll just add my papers for my set to include those plants that I feel should not have been omitted.

The co-author of Druid Plant Oracle and I want to take this opportunity to say that if you find a problem with printing in the newspaper or a book, send email to office @ Druidism. org and we’ll make sure this is right for you. We had some comments in the press very poor and it is unfortunate that two auditors here have had problems, but I assure all the defective material will be replaced free of charge. Do not be discouraged by this! The vast majority of sets are well produced and printed!

Although this deck is pretty decent and an introduction to working with plants such as totems, just did not connect with him. Having been a devoted student of modern Druidry some time, as a plant neoshaman and spiritualist, my approach to what has been driven largely by personal relationships to the plants themselves. Relying on reliable research-Carr Gomms history and modern application Druid, I felt comfortable making this investment. As with all their work putting together a reasonably coherent way through Druidry, sources of information on plants from various sources, some of which are in fact the tradition and legend. I appreciate your ability to assert that the sources are a bit ‘fuzzy that are directly related to Druidry, instead of affirming the presumption as fact. That said, after spending a lot “of time with horticulturists and botanists, the presentation of scientific data submitted in plants is fairly complete and sound, if not informative. We need to distinguish that while the use of medicinal herbs presented is covered, that is not the intention of the material.
One thing that is evident in the characteristics of this platform is the inclusion of the Divine Feminine and the comfort of growing the world plant. However, in writing, in turn, her voice was not specific. From an observation instrument of divination, the cover includes the usual functions of the plant name and meaning, with reverse and tradition – not limited to sources of druid. Despite the inclusion of thirty-six plants, all the gallant efforts, insatiable lovers of plants I wanted more. S is a good starting point for beginners working with plants as spiritual masters, although I will crave more mature animists. I hope that the level of detail to the investigation of this bridge will be future additions to it.
